Sneaking in on Wednesday night via a mate who lived on Southport rd.to watch cycle racing.All my mates had proper racing bikes,they were older than me,l had to make do with my Coventry Eagle ,my dad bought me for passing schorlship, I think of the days when ryders like Lloyd Binch cycled passed me,hiding beneath the bank opposite the Pavilion .Alas I never got a racing bike (put up with my eagle).those memories are still with me now I,m in my eights .(6 year.
